Under Construction

by KevinYrock on June 27, 2010

So after the government gave cities/towns/sizable establishments money to do improvements and whatnot, a bunch of construction suddenly erupted.  This I can understand; however, I don’t understand why people can’t adapt to the conditions of limited traffic flow and general change in road conditions.  All you have to do is either A: slow down a little bit and take it easy or B: be more aware of your surroundings and change your regular habits.  Instead on doing one of those, people generally tend to become highly frustrated and lose all common sense while driving and make rash decisions and generally anger all those driving around them.  WTF’s Up With orange barrels and construction zones that makes everyone become complete morons and drive recklessly and without concern for others??

Hoooorrrnnnnnss

So unless you either don’t care or you live under a rock, the world cup is going on this month.  I’m relatively clueless on what teams are good and the mechanics of the game, but I find the sport interesting and am having fun watching the games.  However, WTF’s Up With the fans blowing all those horns!  If their is an underlying purpose behind it, such as honoring someone who recently passed or something comparable, then I understand why and its ok but still a little annoying.  If they are doing it just to make noise, then it would be great if they did it for the first half or less and then just stopped.  Obviously, that is not the case and they proceed to sound their horns throughout the entire game.  WTF’s Up With That?

Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, etc. etc. all have photos of people on them.  There are times this feature is a blessing and other times its a curse.  The gray area between those two would be when they are just plain annoying.  WTF’s up with people doing the little kissy face and throwing up the peace sign [...]

Long time no WTF.  Small question but large discussion on this one.  WTF’s up with 3D content in the home??  It’s great in the theater (on select movies where it enhances the experience) but to wear the 3D glasses in your home to experience the 3D?  That just seems a little odd and inconvenient.   I [...]

Studies

April 19, 2010

This doesn’t exactly fall into a WTF kind of thought, but a thinker none the less. If you are capable of studying a certain subject for hours on end, does that mean that should be your area of study or does it mean that the subject is just really easy? Likewise, if your current field [...]

Life

April 12, 2010

So I’ll start this off by asking, why was Oprah Winfrey chosen to narrate the mini series Life on The Discovery Channel?  In my opinion and I’m sure a lot of other peoples, David Attenborough was leaps and bounds better.  WTF’s Up With That??
